As caregivers and parents we understand and we live it. We are happy to answer any questions you have and once you are ready – we will onboard your caregiver, coordinate with your case manager, and facilitate the transition to make it easy and quick!

Children waivers

Children’s Extensive Supports Medicaid Waiver (CES)

Under 18 Years of Age

The Children’s Extensive Supports (CES) waiver helps children and families by providing services for children with a developmental disability who also demonstrate a medical or behavioral condition where constant line-of-sight supervision is regularly needed to keep the child and others safe. There is no State waitlist for this program.

Children’s Home and Community-Based Services Waiver (CHCBS)

Under 18 Years of Age

The Children’s Home and Community-Based Services (CHCBS) waiver helps children (under 18) with significant medical needs and who are at risk for institutional care in an acute hospital or skilled nursing facility.

Adult Waivers

Developmental Disabilities Medicaid Waiver (DD)

Age 18 & Up

The Developmental Disabilities (DD) waiver provides access to 24-hour, seven days a week supervision through Residential Habilitation and Day Habilitation Services and Supports. Brain Injury Waiver (BI)

Age 16 & Up The Brain Injury (BI) waiver helps people (16 yrs. & up) with a brain injury who need extra support to live in their communities. You can get these extra services along with your regular Health First Colorado covered services as long as they are not duplicative. Complementary and Integrative Health Waiver (CIH)

Age 18 & Up

The Complementary and Integrative Health (CIH) waiver (formerly SCI Waiver) helps people living with a spinal cord injury (traumatic or nontraumatic), multiple sclerosis, brain injury, spina bifida, muscular dystrophy, or cerebral palsy with the inability for independent ambulation over the age of 18. Learn more: Complementary and Integrative Health Waiver (CIH) | Colorado Department of Health Care Policy & Financing

Community Mental Health Supports Waiver (CMHS)

Age 18 & Up

The Community Mental Health Supports (CMHS) waiver provides assistance to people with a mental illness that require long-term supports and services in order to remain in a community setting. Elderly, Blind, and Disabled Waiver (EBD)

Age 18 & Up

The Elderly, Blind, or Disabled (EBD) waiver provides assistance to people ages 65 and older who have a functional impairment, or are blind, or to people ages 18-64 who are physically disabled or have a diagnosis of HIV or AIDS, and require long-term supports and services in order to remain in a community setting. Learn more: Elderly, Blind, and Disabled Waiver (EBD) | Colorado Department of Health Care Policy & Financing

Supported Living Services Medicaid Waiver (SLS)

Age 18 & Up
